Manila Luzon “Glamasaurus” Music Video

Manila Luzon, RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 3 First Runner-up, just released her music video for “Glamasaurus,” the second track of her first solo album “Eternal Queen.” Glamasaurus_Manila-Luzon_2
“Glamasaurus” comes across as a campy pun to drag queens who has been around the block. There’s plenty of heavy reference to the movie “Jurassic Park,” and there’s nothing wrong with that. I did like it that she actually tried to act in the opening sequence, where she and a crew,  presumably an archeological team/cute dancers, navigated rough terrain to reach a digging site … where she unearthed a stone age copy of the Vogue magazine. Dancing and prehistoric fashion extravaganza ensue. lol, I’m already laughing just thinking of the plot… yes, there’s one, I think. Staying true to her shtick, Manila Luzon kept things funny, fashionable, and sassy throughout the music video. Sexy men and cross-eyed look … surprise surprise. The model with the club sizzles though.

Miss Fame set the new standard really high for Drag Race alumnae with her debut single and music video, but “Glamasaurus” isn’t bad … it’s fun and it stays true to the Manila Luzon brand. Yes, I dropped the “B” word. So kudos to Manila for keeping her creative juices flowing for the children :). Just like Pandora Boxx, I appreciate Drag Racers who, after the end of their season, still keep on producing and putting something out for the fans! #longevity #stayingPower
