Nothing recalibrates my life’s center of gravity more quicker than RuPaul.
In this day and age where everyone’s life journey is visible through technology and social media, it’s so easy to get sucked in on other people’s nuances, causes, and agenda. Losing ones’ self in this 21st century muck is as easy as someone, who’s afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease, trying to remember something.
We can’t support and help everyone! It’s not humanly possible. We need to live our life, and only be concerned with the things that matters to us – directly and indirectly, things we have control of, things that matters to us, and things that’s within our own personal interest.
There are over eight billion people in this planet, and three billion of which has internet access. I’m sure we can find our own tribe within that population – tribe size is irrelevant. Your inner circle will continue to evolve and change, just as people change in their lifetime. There’s no need to please anyone, we only need to please ourselves. There’s no need to stick to one place if it no longer serves your purpose, move … it’s a big planet.
At the end of the day, we are all insignificant beings in this vast universe. The trick is, to live your life the best you can.
We need to filter the noise coming from everyone so we’re only tuning in to the frequencies that matters to us. Sometimes we get lost in our personal journey, and we sometimes need others to remind us to gain perspective … to recalibrate our direction. For me personally, there’s nobody else who can do it quicker than RuPaul.
RuPaul’s works, like RuPaul’s Drag Race, isn’t just entertainment … it’s a life lesson.
