NewNowNext’s Dan Avery reported that Lady Gaga will soon make her silverscreen debut. She’s currently in talks to play Louise in Barbra Streisand’s “Gypsy,” as revealed by John Travolta.
She will join the ranks of young music pop stars who dabble in the movie business, albeit with significant roles. Justin Timberlake made his breakthrough performance in the movie “Alpha Dog” (2006) and a follow-up note-worthy performance in “The Social Network” (2010). With twenty-four movies under his belt, and one more in 2016, he leads the pack.
Beyoncé Knowles also have a growing list of movies, “Austin Powers in Goldmember” (2006), “The Pink Panther” (2006), “Dreamgirls” (2006), and her breakthrough leading role in “Obsessed” (2009).
Gaga is slated to appear in the upcoming season of “American Horror Story : Hotel,” playing the role of the Countess Elizabeth for thirteen episodes. She is also rumored to appear in the movie “Machete Kills In Space” as revealed in her imdb page, but “Gypsy” will likely be her major movie role as it stands.
