Next week in RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 2, the eliminated Queens (Alyssa Edwards, Coco Montrese, Tatianna and Ginger Minj) will finally get their revenge and a chance to return to the competition.
In this behind the scenes footage the eliminated Queens have no idea what they’re up against.
The eliminated Queens will lip sync for their life in order to re-enter the competition.
RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 2 returns Thursday on Logo.
What does “revenge” mean? Will they be able to do a challenge – there’s no free pass in Drag Race, they always have to work for their meal – that will give them the power to eliminate one of the remaining contestants? If that’s the case, Phi Phi O’Hara’s head is potentially on the chopping block.
In past seasons, contestants who were brought back only did one episode, with the exception of Trixie Mattel who did two episodes, and then got eliminated for good. This is All Stars Season 2, a game-changer, a lot of changes has been introduced to the show. Will the show let an eliminated Queen return and compete as far as they can go … to the top three or even win? It’s always a question of “fairness”, in that, is it fair to the ones who competed from start to finish only to be outmaneuvered by someone who took a short hiatus and missed out some of the challenges? That would be a great strategy – to get kicked out early on to miss out on some of the challenges and return when it’s almost over. My gut feeling is it will be the same as past seasons of Drag Race*. Maybe the returning Queen will make it to the top three, but I find hard to imagine the returning Queen taking the crown.
Alyssa Edwards is my top pick to win the title. If she does win, it will be historic and a really jaw dropping outcome. If not, Alaska Thunderfuck, my backup choice, will be great. So we shall see!
