Rhea Litré “#Lovergirl” – Them Vocal Cords

Hot from the Press … WeHo’s very own and international drag icon, Rhea Litré, just dropped the music video of her new single, released mid-August, “Lovergirl,” … and it’s amazing! She’s one of Hollywood’s self-made drag superstar who has attained celebrity status by sheer talent, creativity, and persistence. Fresh from modeling on the runway Marco Marco’s latest fashion collection, her new single and accompanying music video for “Lovergirl” further cements her status as a drag superstar … and she’s not even on RuPaul’s Drag Race yet! The song is very upbeat, catchy, and easy to listen to. Her vocals is amazing, … pay attention to the chorus when she hit those high notes! She’s not kidding around. The accompanying music video, shot on location in her home turf – Hollywood boulevard and Santa Monica beach (if I’m not mistaken), to name a few – is very well made, dynamic, and very fluid. I’m actually impressed they manage to get a clean and fluid shot on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and in front of the Chinese Theater, since those areas are constantly swarming with tourists. I like it that she incorporated many elements into the music video and went on multiple locations. I’m very impressed. You go gurl!

I didn’t know I was going to be this fierce when i did it, but i consider myself the luckiest person in the world, I’m living my dream.” – Rhea Litré

Lovergirl” is available on iTunes. It’s a great “serious” song, and not one of those parodies we often get from drag queens these days. Parodies are okay and fun, but how can you really lip sync to that in front of your co-workers? lol. Camp is fine, but, when it comes to music and making it on the charts – the serious ones – I believe it pays to put out a serious one, whatever your genre is. It’s fun for a few laughs, but that’s it … #choices … I digress.

Check out the video below. Enjoy!
