Meet The Queens of Drag Race Thailand Season 1

Drag Race Thailand just concluded its’ first press conference, officially introducing the contestants of season one to a very enthusiastic audience.

Pangina Heals, co-host of the show, set off the event with a lip sync performance to RuPaul’s song “Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve & Talent” from the album “American.” After which, she called the cast to the stage. One-by-one the Queens danced and vogued as they made their way to the front of the stage and then to the back.

In true Drag Race fashion, the drama and theatrics has already begun even before the season premiered. Heals did a smelly tush gesture as Minnie Minaj dipped her voluptuous derriere on the floor, like Nicki Minaj in her “Anaconda” music video… of course. LOL. Then Jaja, a contestant from the Philippines, did a couple of deathdrops and had a little bit of wardrobe malfunction – her fascinator became loose on her second deathdrop, so she took it off.

Drag Race Thailand’s very own sexy pit crew, wearing suits but without any inner-shirt revealing their burly six-pack and toned torso, joined the cast on the stage.

Heals then introduced Drag Race Thailand’s very own “Mama Ru,” Art Arya. The lights turn red as she entered the stage. She was wearing a flowy red dress and an amazing fascinator that looks like claws coming out of her head. She gracefully dance and playfully flung her skirt as she teased and flirted with the crew.

What an amazing grand opening! The show will feature a panel of mainstay judges and guest judges. However, based on Katana Group’s press release, it doesn’t seem like there are any judges connected to RuPaul’s Drag Race who will be making appearance on the show. Drag Race Thailand is a production of Katana Group Public Co.Ltd. The forty-five minute show is slated to premiere on Line TV Thailand (Online TV app) on February 15 (to be confirmed). It’s currently only available in Thailand. It is not yet available in North America. There’s no official word yet on whether the show will be made available in North America. The show will be mainly in Thai.

In related news, Drag Race Thailand is already casting for season two, starting first week of February.

The kids can’t wait for the official publicity photos for all cast members.

Stay tuned for more updates!
