While Yvie Oddly is enjoying her “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 11 victory, and the Drag Race universe is all focused on the three-week test run of RuPaul’s new self-titled daytime talk show — which just aired yesterday on select Fox channels across the US — and Pride Month, it’s never too early to speculate casting on the next iteration of “All Stars.” Others even made casting predictions a week after the season 11 finale, seriously.
Our list is based on media exposure and cameos through “RuPaul’s Drag Race” itself and its many projects. It’s not based on personal bias or fan-favorite, well, a little bit. Our logic is simple, if World of Wonder & co. wants to cast an alum, they will want to start including the said personality, albeit, casually… in PR rotations to drive up fan-base interest and media coverage. That is, in the absence of a viral video or drama. But then again, it’s “All Stars”, does it really matter which Queen returns to play the game?
In alphabetical order, here’s our cast best guess for RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 5:
1. April Carrión (S6)
2. Blair. St. Clair (S10)
3. Derrick Barry (S8)
4. Dida Ritz (S4)
5. Jujubee (S2)
6. Mariah Paris Balenciaga (S3)
7. Mayhem Miller (S10) or Pearl (S6)
8. Shea Couleé (S9)
9. Nina West (S11) or Jade Jolie (S5)
10. Ongina (S1)
11. Peppermint (S9) or Laganja Estranja (S6)
12. Sonique (S2)
Cast storylines might pickup from where they left off on their season, or new ones can be woven in, just like Adore Delano where she quit the competition. Whatever it is, surely fans will be excited to see what sorcery the show will cook up in the upcoming iteration.
