Soju, the first eliminated contestant of “RuPaul's Drag Race” Season 11, released her first single entitled “Finding Love Again”. She dedicates the song to kids “disowned, neglected, abused, humiliated and hurt by their fathers.”
Having spent little time on the show, Soju is further telling her back story through her latest single, K-Pop style. The inspirational pop song is sang in both English and Korean. Soju may not have the vocal pipes like Adore Delano, Jinkx Monsoon or Courtney Act — especially noticeable when she hits the high notes in the chorus — but she definitely can sing, and sounds good too. It's also good addition to “real music” produced by Drag Race alums — you know it’s “traditional” for contestants who can’t really sing to release club beats mixed with familiar catchphrases and spoken word and still sound legit.
The song doesn't indicate any label, and is released under “716194 Records DK” (http://DistroKid.com). Soju also released an instrumental version of the song.
The song is now available on iTunes: “Fall In Love Again”
Omg my song is out #FallinLoveAgain
To all the kids out there who were disowned, neglected, abused, humiliated and hurt by their fathers, I stand for you. Whether it be you are too queer, too feminine, too sensitive, too artistic or too different, remember YOU ARE ENOUGH. I was disowned by my father 7 years ago.
