Cathay Pacific says it's recording passengers with CCTV cameras onboard flights.

An updated privacy statement from the Hong Kong-based airline states that onboard cameras are set up on aircrafts to capture passengers

The Hong Kong-based airline recently revealed it is using CCTV to monitor passengers on board, reigniting debates about travelers’ privacy 35,000 feet up.

Cathay Pacific passengers can expect information on their itineraries, travel companions, purchase of duty free items, activities while on board and usage of the in-flight entertainment system to be collected, according to an updated privacy policy released at the end of July. Cameras are also set up at Cathay’s airport lounges.
