Priyanka (@TheQueenPri), “Canada’s Drag Race” Season 1 Winner, Tests Positive For COVID-19

PriyankaVancouver, BC ( — “Canada’s Drag Race” Season 1 winner, Priyanka, tested positive of COVID-19.

Just two days ago, Drag Race alum and “Canada’s Drag Race” judge, Brooke Lynn Hytes announced on her Instagram that she tested positive of COVID-19.

Both queens are part of an ensemble cast touring Canadian cities for the “Canada’s Drag Race: Live at the Drive-In!” managed by Voss Events.

It’s not reported whether other members of the tour contingent has been tested or what their status are. Canada has been experiencing a resurgence in COVID-19 cases, with Ontario and Quebec experiencing huge spikes by the hundreds.

The second Drag Race cast COVID-19 infection calls into question the safety of drive-in live performances for the performers, tour management and audience in the midst of a pandemic.

Priyanka also shared on her Instagram that she’s “asymptomatic and isolating at home in Toronto!”

Well Well Well…isn’t this shit!

Covid got me gal! It is with great sadness, anxiety and a side of depression that I cannot be with you for the Montreal + Toronto dates for the Canada’s Drag Race Drive-In Tour!

I came into contact with 2 people who tested positive while out socially last week in Toronto and have been ordered to self isolate for 2 weeks.

The recent spikes in Quebec and Ontario are proof this virus is still very real and we simply can’t go back to our social lives as usual! Please stay out of the bars, physical distance, wash your hands and wear your masks!

I’m so fucking sad and I love you all so much <3 THE MINUTE we can get a Priyanka tour happening, I will come visit all of you and give you the show of a lifetime. I have no symptoms and I feel great!

Get tested xx
