JAJA made a name for herself when she competed on “Drag Race Thailand” debut season — the local version of the hugely successful American reality competition television series “RuPaul’s Drag Race” — where she placed 5th and 6th after a double-elimination with fellow contestant Amadiva. Having moved to Bangkok to teach English, she end up applying for a job at a local nightclub — after being tipped by a friend — as a drag entertainer and got it. She is the only expatriate, non-Thai cast member in her season who only spoke little Thai then.
JAJA’s stage name was coined by her friend, Mike Gaw from the Philippines, who fashioned the name from part of her birth name “R-Jay,” taking “JA” and used it twice. A comedy queen with a bubbly personality. She made a lasting impression with all her silly antics, like when she was goofing around during the finale.
She joins the ranks of a growing distinct group of drag entertainers with Philippine origin who have competed on Drag Race, like Ongina, Manila Luzon, Jiggly Caliente Books, Phi Phi O’Hara, Vivienne Pinay and Rock M. Sakura.
JAJA is best know for competing on "Drag Race Thailand" debut season.
